This book is for anyone who understands the immense love and joy a companion animal can bring but who may also be currently crippled by the devastating thought of beginning end of life discussions and processes.

For anyone struggling to decide if the time to offer the ultimate gift of peace (euthanasia) to your fur baby is now or impending, this book may assist you in preparing the best way possible.

You may never be 100% sure of your decision and that’s okay, but planning is certainly the key for the best outcome for all.

In honour of you: A pet loss journal to guide you to healing.

Thoughtful questions and prompts to help you towards your healing path. This is a beautiful gift for anyone who has lost a pet such as a cat, dog, bird, horse, hamster, rabbit, etc. The journal is perfect. It contains 100 pages, some are college lined and others are blank.

This tool is designed to support you through the challenges of pet loss and prompt you towards your healing path. Sometimes you need a safe place to put all this emotion and pain. There is an option to write a message to your loved one, take this opportunity to thank them for all they have been to you. If you need to apologise for anything at all, this is the place to do so.

Veterinary Team Self-Care Journal

A safe space for reflection and healing. This journal is designed to support you through the daily challenges of working in the Veterinary industry and to help you cope with the highs and lows such as patient loss and prompt you towards healing.

The journal encourages and guides you to reflect on the patients you have helped but supports you to acknowledge those you have lost.

This journal makes space for recognising and recording the aspects of your worry in your work that you can control as well as the aspects you can not control.

The journal prompts you to ask yourself how you can actively feel better and what will that look like moving forward.

The journal has repetitive self care prompts to encourage regular engagement. As professionals we don’t necessarily want to burden our family and friends with how our day really was.

A beautiful gift for your caring vet or vet support person.

A way for you to show your appreciation for all their hard work and dedication. The perfect way to say, Thank you.

"Nikki helped our family understand grief"
Nikki has been wonderful in helping our family understand grief after losing our beloved cat Oscar.

As a mum I felt I had to “make everything better” for the kids but I didn’t know what was beneficial to say all the time. Nikki made the kids feel more settled about their feelings and we will remember the advise she gave us. Thank you Nikki you have a heart of gold 💛

"There for us in our time of need"
Nikki is such an incredible and compassionate human being. She was there for us in our time of need when we didn’t know if we were making the right decisions and helped us to be at peace with the ones we did make.

She understands that pets are family and how truly devastating their loss can be. She has helped us through a truly difficult time and we will be forever grateful for that.
- Rae Newson
"I wouldn't hesitate recommending Nikki"
I cannot speak more highly of Nikki - she is an absolutely amazing person to talk through during a rough time. I have not had to go through the grieving process of losing a pet recently but she's been wonderful to chat to during tough times too. Wouldn't hesitate to keep referring my clients to her during their bereavement period xx
- Rachael Rodrigues
"Nikki's gentle nature and beautiful soul"
Nikki has helped me make the hardest decisions of my life in having to say goodbye to my furbabies on several occasions.

With Nikki's gentle nature, beautiful soul and heart of gold she truly understands the deep love and connection we feel for and share with our animals. I highly recommend Nikki at Paws For Talk if you are at any stage in the process of needing to say goodbye to your beloved family member.

Prior to, the day of, days or even months later, there is no time limit on grief. Nikki's caring ear and advice can make the process a little less confronting for all members of the family.
